Safe Chainsaw Operation

The rationale behind developing a training manual is to provide a structured and comprehensive resource that supports effective learning and ensures consistency in the delivery of key information and skills. This manual is developed based on learnings and experiences from different level of training organized by EnLiFT project in Sindhupalchok and Kavrepalanchok districts of Nepal.  This manual might be an essential tool for ensuring the effectiveness, consistency, and comprehensiveness of the training, ultimately contributing to the safe and proficient use of chainsaws by participants.

Training of Trainer in Forest Management

The manual builds on the findings of the previous EnLiFT1 project and is based on the research project funded by Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). This training manual has been developed building on the findings of EnLiFT forest management trials, reviewed literature, legal provisions related to forest management in Nepal. The manual was finalized after field test through a ToT to Forest Officer and peer reviewed.

Nursery Management and
Certification

This manual is based on the research project “Enhancing livelihoods from improved forest management in Nepal” or the EnLiFT2 Project (http://enliftnepal.forestaction.org/). EnLiFT2 Project (ACIAR FST/2017/037) is the second phase of the EnLiFT (ACIAR Project FST/2011/076) and is funded by the Australian Centre of International Agricultural Research. EnLiFT2 commenced in 2018 and is a collaboration between the University of Adelaide, the University of New South Wales, the Department of Forests and Soil Conservation, the Forest Research and Training Center (Government of Nepal), Forest Action Nepal, Nepal Agroforestry Foundation, and RECOFTC Nepal.
